Moravian Academy DECA Achieves Thrive Level Recognition Through Student Leadership
Moravian Academy DECA was among 1,188 chapters that achieved Thrive Level recognition during the 2025-2026 school year and will be commended at DECA’s International Career Development Conference (ICDC) held April 25-28, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Each fall, DECA offers four campaigns for chapters to complete as part of their program of leadership for the year. These campaigns are designed to grow membership engagement and build lasting partnerships within the school and local community. Chapters that achieve Thrive Level receive a commemorative pennant, flag and plaque. The chapters also have an opportunity to participate in ICDC.
To earn Thrive Level recognition, chapters must meet DECA’s program requirements by either completing two of three chapter campaigns, including community service, innovations and entrepreneurship, and promotional, or by participating in the membership campaign. The membership campaign challenges chapters to achieve two of three goals: recruiting 20 professional members, recruiting 20 alumni members, or increasing student membership by 20 members from the previous school year.
The Moravian Academy DECA members who contributed to the Thrive recognition were Graci Rodriguez '27 and Ally Callow '27 with the assistance of their advisor, Ingrid Gerber. Graci and Ally were instrumental in Moravian Academy DECA’s achievement of Thrive Level recognition. Through a strong emphasis on community giving, the development of community engagement initiatives, coordination of guest speakers, and interactive programming, they advanced the chapter’s focus on entrepreneurship and innovation.
