With this in mind, we are pleased to continue our year-long virtual Moravian Academy Community Education Series for 2025–26. Led by Moravian Academy faculty experts and thought leaders, this series will explore engaging topics designed to inform, inspire, and strengthen our community.

Before They Click: What Every Parent Must Know About Raising Kids in a Digital World

We invite you to attend this Moravian Academy Community Education Series program examining the complexities of raising children in an increasingly digital world.
Guest speakers Special Agent Kate Murray, Homeland Security Investigations (RAC Allentown), and Paige Gross, Family Law Attorney at KingSpry, will share their expertise on online safety, exploitation risks, and relevant legal frameworks. Cpl. Gretchen Kraemer, Criminal Investigation Division, Bethlehem Township Police Department, will offer a local law enforcement perspective on issues affecting youth and families. Ryan Berger, Director of IT at Moravian Academy, will provide insight into the technological landscape and strategies for fostering secure digital engagement.
The session will review a series of real-world scenarios that reflect common challenges faced by children and families in online environments. Topics will include:
  • Inappropriate or non-consensual content
  • Requests for or pressure to share intimate material
  • Online harassment, bullying, or threats
  • Online safety and security risks
  • Digital footprint fallout, including reputation and future opportunities
Participants will gain research-informed insights and practical strategies to foster digital literacy, promote safe online engagement, and support the well-being of children and adolescents in virtual spaces.
Special Agent Kate Murray
Kate Murray is a Special Agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)/Resident Agent in Charge (RAC) Allentown, PA. During the past 21 years, SA Murray has investigated various federal violations including child exploitation, narcotics, firearms, financial and human trafficking in six counties north of the Philadelphia area.  During this time, SA Murray has strengthened HSI’s partnerships with state and local law enforcement through her diligent and sustained efforts.  SA Murray conducts her investigations in a way that balances the importance of identifying and apprehending child predators with the identification and rescue of victims who have been forced into a life of both sexual and physical abuse. 

SA Murray has earned the trust and respect of her colleagues in law enforcement, as well as the victims she has encountered during her cases.

Cpl. Gretchen Kraemer

Cpl. Gretchen Kraemer serves with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Bethlehem Township Police Department. She has 16 years of law enforcement experience, including prior service with the Bethlehem City Police Department and the Northampton County Sheriff’s Department.
An Investigator since 2022, Cpl. Kraemer is assigned as a Task Force Officer with Homeland Security and serves on the Homeland Security Human Trafficking Task Force. She is also a trained Crisis Negotiator, certified Forensic Interviewer, and a member of the Northampton County Drug Task Force.
Cpl. Kraemer is recognized for her commitment to building strong partnerships and protecting victims while holding offenders accountable.
Paige Gross - Attorney
Ms. Gross joined KingSpry as an associate after interning with the law firm during her third year of law school. She also served as a judicial extern with the Honorable Mark A. Kearney, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
As a family attorney, Ms. Gross handles physical and legal custody disputes and child support and divorce actions involving the division of marital estates and property and actions for spousal support, alimony pendente lite, and alimony. She helps her clients understand and assess their options so they can make the best choice to protect themselves, their children and their future.
She is a frequent presenter on topics related to her legal practice and she has appeared as a guest on the podcast Legal Lunch Room. Ms. Gross earned her Juris Doctor from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. She graduated cum laude from Temple University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, where she was captain of the field hockey team and a student athletic advisory council representative.
Ryan Berger - Director of Technology

Ryan Berger serves as the Director of Technology at Moravian Academy, where he helps teachers and students make the most of technology in safe, meaningful ways. He works alongside faculty to ensure digital tools truly support great teaching and learning. You’ll often find him meeting with teachers or students, finding practical ways to bring technology to life in the classroom. Above all, Ryan sees his role as helping every student use technology with confidence, curiosity, and purpose.

Moravian Academy is pleased to once again partner with ISACS (Independent Schools Association of the Central States) to offer our families and faculty access to the ISACS Parent Series—a cornerstone program designed to strengthen the school–home partnership.

This year’s series of six evening webinars (September 2025 – May 2026) will feature renowned experts in education, parenting, and child development. Each one-hour session provides parents and caregivers with insights, strategies, and encouragement to support children at every stage of development.

Because Moravian Academy is an ISACS member school, all webinars are free of charge for our families and faculty. Pre-registration for each webinar is required.
