Tuition & Fees

Every student will have More to Explore because of a Moravian Academy education. Our mission—to nurture the joyful spirit of each learner and empower inclusive global citizens to think critically, communicate effectively, lead with integrity, and strive for excellence—also means that we are committed to making such an education available to all students, regardless of their financial resources.

The tuition at Moravian Academy for the 2024-25 academic year ranges from $9,085 to $36,844 depending on grade level.  Please review the chart below to see the breakdown by grade level.

Payment Plan Options
 
Beginning in 2025, the 10-month payment plan option for returning students will begin in June.  Contracts that are not returned prior to the payment plan start date will lose the full 10-month payment option and will forfeit each additional payment until a contract is returned. 

For example, if a contract is returned in June, the payment plan will be spread across 9 payments and so on.

Additionally Payment Plan 1 will be required to make their full payment by July 20, 2025. 

Families in Payment Plan 2 will be required to make their first payment by July 20, 2025.

Additional Costs Outside of Tuition

We include most costs in the annual tuition, including day field trips, iPads, MacBooks, and textbooks. Additional costs outside of tuition are outlined below.

  • Tuition Insurance

    Tuition insurance, offered by Dewar and set at 0.95% of tuition, is required for families choosing either the 2-payment or 10-payment plans. Families choosing to pay in full may decline the Tuition Refund Plan.  For more information, please review the Tuition Refund Plan
  • Dining

    Our food service provider Sodexo, offers tasty, globally inspired food that students want to eat, made with fresh ingredients. Well-rounded, age-appropriate, and nutritious meals are served daily in our dining rooms to students in Grades 1-12. Kindergarten students on the Swain Campus will have the option to bring their own lunch or purchase the lunch provided in our dining room.

    • Kindergarten(optional): $1,093
    • Grades 1-8: $1,257
    • Grade 9-12: $1,787
    Preschool and PreKindergarten students on the Swain Campus will be required to bring their own lunch.  

    Preschool, PreKindergarten,and Kindergarten students at the Historic Downtown Campus have the option to either bring their own lunch or participate in the beginning school lunch program.

  • Uniforms & Dress Code

    Students in Grades 1-8 on the Historic Downtown Campus and K-Grade 8 on the Swain Campus are required to wear uniforms to school. Students in Grades 9-12 have a dress code.

  • Transportation

    Bus transportation is available and provided by your local School District if the district is within ten miles of the campus your student attends. Please visit our transportation page to see a list of districts that provide bussing.  

    Private bus transportation may be available upon request.  For more details, please contact transportation@mamail.net.
  • After-School Programs

    Extended Care is available to students in Preschool - Grade 8 from 3:00 - 5:30 PM daily. The daily rate is $10/day for pickup by 4:15 PM, and $20/day for pickup by 5:30 PM. 

    MAX: Explorations allow students in PS - 8th Grade to dive deeper into areas that interest them. We offer them 3-4 times throughout the year in six-week sessions from 3:15 - 4:15 PM.
