Early Childhood Education on the Historic Downtown Campus

The Historic Downtown Campus utilizes the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) for our beginning school. The IEYC is a globally recognized framework rooted in best practices for early childhood education, specifically tailored to meet the developmental needs of 2- to 5-year-olds.
This curriculum facilitates a seamless transition between early years and compulsory education by fostering playful learning experiences. We focus on cultivating essential skills that nurture:
  • Curiosity and inquiry-based discovery.
  • Student Agency and independence.
  • Global Citizenship and social connection.
The IEYC was chosen for its unique ability to bridge the gap between rigorous academic foundations and play-based experiences. By the time students complete the program, they are equipped with the skills and confidence to leap into first grade, fully prepared for the learning experiences ahead.
Our Moravian Cub Program, designed for Preschool through Kindergarten students, offers a comprehensive, year-round experience.
This unique program combines Moravian Academy’s exceptional academic foundation with opportunities for enrichment, exploration, and connection during school breaks and summer months.
Families can choose the flexibility of traditional academic-year enrollment or enjoy the full extended Moravian Cub Program, fostering curiosity, growth, and community all year long.
Program Options and Flexible Care
  • Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten families can choose between full-day or half-day attendance.
  • Additionally, Preschool families may choose to attend 3, 4, or 5 days each week
  • The Historic Downtown Campus offers a full-day Kindergarten program.
  • We also offer before-care beginning at 7:30 am and after-care, which runs until 5:30 pm.
