Your first step on a wondrous learning journey
Welcome! We’re delighted you’re considering Moravian Academy for your child.
When you’re selecting a school, there are many factors you’ll want to investigate carefully: What is this school’s academic philosophy? Will my child be challenged and supported at the right levels and at the right times? How does the program build values and character as well as subject-matter mastery? Will my child be fully prepared, academically and personally, for their next steps? What is the community like? And—perhaps most important—will my child be happy here?
As you explore our website, you may be considering the unique opportunities that our two distinct preschool-8th-grade programs on the Swain and Historic Downtown Campuses have to offer. You may be intrigued by our Upper School on the Merle-Smith Campus, which is intentionally similar to a college campus and experience. Whatever your goals, hopes, questions, or concerns, our admissions team is ready and eager to think them through with you.
At Moravian Academy, we know and love every student as a unique individual—and that goes for families, too. We’re here to help you make the choice that fits your child and your family best.

8th to 9th Transition Tour
All Swain and Historic Downtown Campus 8th grade students will be bussed to Merle-Smith Campus for an overview of the MSC, student panel, tour of campus and picnic lunch.Merle-Smith Campus -
Virtual All-School Info Session
Prospective Moravian Academy families are invited to join the admissions team for an overview of all three of MA's beautiful campuses. Diving deep into our mission, vision and core values, families will leave with a sense of who we are and how we can be partners in your children's education from your entry until 12th grade. This is a great overview for families who may not know which campus to choose from (Swain or Historic Downtown), and how we unite our communities together at the high school level on our Merle-Smith Campus.
We will highlight how an independent school education sets itself apart from other options in the Lehigh Valley including our outstanding curriculum, top tier faculty, Signature Programming, and commitment to Athletics and the Arts & Sciences.
At these sessions, you will get to interact directly with students and hear about their experiences. An opportunity for Q&A will be available at the end of the night. This session is expected to run no longer than one hour.Virtual -
In-Person Open House
The faculty and staff at Moravian Academy's Merle-Smith Campus (9-12) invite your family to join us for an in-person open house event! The distinctive college-like atmosphere of our Merle-Smith Campus provides a setting in which students pursue their own interests, talents, ambitions, and leadership capacities. Guided and inspired by expert faculty members, you engage in complex cooperative projects and advanced independent research. You celebrate beloved traditions and further develop personal passions and curiosities, stretching beyond your comfort zone to explore academics, the arts, athletics, affinity groups or all of them at once. As you increasingly take charge of your education, you graduate ready to excel in the college and future of your choice.
At this event, you will get to interact directly with faculty, staff and our students. An opportunity for Q&A will be available. The event will also highlight the admissions process and how to apply for financial aid. This session is expected to run no longer than 90 minutes.Merle-Smith Campus -
More to Explore: Your Journey to MSCAM Half Day Shadow
Current 8th grade students at the Swain and Historic Downtown Campuses are invited to participate in any one of our More to Explore shadow day experiences. Students will be thoughtfully paired with a current Merle-Smith student to experience a day in the life of a high school student at Moravian Academy! The AM Shadow Day will include transportation to and from your home campus. Students will have lunch at the MSC and will return before afternoon dismissal.Merle-Smith Campus
