Moravian Academy Students Represent All Three Campuses at SCHout 2026
Cristina Usino
On Saturday, January 31, student leaders from all three Moravian Academy campuses came together at the SCHout student diversity conference, a first for our school community.
Unity Leadership Board members from the Upper School and nominated eighth grade leaders from the Historic Downtown and Swain Campuses spent the day learning alongside 200 students from schools across the Philadelphia region. They participated in story exchanges designed to cultivate radical empathy, chose workshops on topics that mattered to them, and listened, shared, and connected across difference.
This year’s SCHout theme was “Constellation of Us: Rise, Resist, Reach for the Stars.” Our students lived that vision, showing up with open hearts and sharp minds. They asked hard questions, built meaningful connections, and returned to campus with new perspectives to share with our community.
What our students experienced Saturday wasn't just a conference. It was a glimpse of what's possible when young people lead with courage and care, show up for one another, and approach belonging as something we build together, not something we wait for.
Our students are doing the work, and they're just getting started!
