Moravian Academy Students Earn Top Honors at PJAS Regional Competition

On Saturday, February 28, students from Moravian Academy’s Historic Downtown Campus and Swain Campus participated in the Region 3 Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) Regional Competition. PJAS is a statewide science fair for students in grades 7 through 12 that encourages exploration in science, engineering, technology, and mathematics while also developing research skills, public speaking, long-term planning, and perseverance.

A total of twenty-five students represented Moravian Academy at the competition, showcasing their curiosity, dedication, and academic rigor through original research projects and presentations.

Congratulations to Lucy Deyton ’30, Kaito Kiuchi ’30, Ella Razavi ’30, and Olivia Beck ’30 for earning perfect scores on their projects, an exceptional accomplishment recognizing outstanding research and presentation. Lucille earned a perfect score for the second consecutive year, an exceptional accomplishment.

Twenty students earned first-place awards and will advance to the PJAS State Competition, which will take place at Penn State’s main campus from Sunday, May 17 through Tuesday, May 19.
