The Full-Tuition Impact Scholarship
Moravian Academy is proud to introduce the Impact Scholarship, a prestigious new opportunity that will award full tuition to two incoming Upper School students at the Merle-Smith Campus (grades 9–12), beginning in the 2026–27 academic year. Valued at approximately $40,000 per year, this highly competitive scholarship is designed to attract high-achieving students with strong academic performance, leadership potential, and a desire to make a meaningful impact within their school community.
At a time when families are navigating an increasingly competitive and costly college landscape, the Impact Scholarship reflects Moravian Academy’s commitment to expanding access to a rigorous, forward-thinking education—one that develops the critical thinking, leadership, and real-world skills essential for success in college and beyond.
Two incoming students will be awarded a full tuition of $40,000 per year.

“We know that today’s students are eager to engage with the big issues shaping their future. The Impact Scholarship allows us to welcome students who are ready to lead, collaborate and contribute to a community that values curiosity, innovation and thoughtful leadership.”
— Adrianne Finley Odell,
Head of School

Expanding Our Community: Family Referral Program

As part of the Impact Scholarship initiative, we are also launching a family referral program. Current families who refer a student who ultimately enrolls at Moravian Academy's Merle-Smith Campus will receive a $500 referral award.
The referral award applies regardless of whether the student receives the Impact Scholarship, but they must enroll at the Merle-Smith Campus. It’s our way of thanking families who help grow and strengthen our community.
Application Deadline: May 1, 2026

The Evaluation and Selection Process
The Impact Scholarship is intended to support incoming students who will make an impact in ways that advance Moravian Academy—whether through the arts, athletics, or our new Center for Civic Leadership & Innovation, a forward-thinking program focused on preparing students to navigate complex global challenges while developing leadership and critical thinking skills.

Impact Scholarship candidates are evaluated through Moravian Academy’s standard admissions materials, which provide a comprehensive view of each student’s academic ability, character, and readiness to thrive in our community. Students selected for the scholarship may also demonstrate excellence and impact through athletics or the arts.
The Selection Committee reviews letters of recommendation, OLSAT testing results, an application essay written by the candidate, and academic transcripts as part of this process.
Additionally, as part of the selection process, families will participate in an interview with the selection committee to learn more about each student’s readiness, independence, and potential for positive impact, while also exploring the partnership between the family and the school.
