Merle-Smith Campus Quiz Bowl Team Wins PBS39 Scholastic Scrimmage

Moravian Academy’s Quiz Bowl team, Varshini Kommireddy ’29, Nathaniel Schmidt ’26, Tyler Shankweiler ’26, Charlene Liu ’26, and Jacob Kropf ’29, won the PBS39 Scholastic Scrimmage championship this season, marking the program’s third title in four years. Senior team member Nathaniel Schmidt was also selected to represent Moravian Academy in this year’s Scholastic Scrimmage All Star Tournament.

 

In addition to the championship, the team earned second place at the Livingstone High School Quiz Bowl, first place at Penn Manor High School, third place at the Great Valley High School Quiz Bowl, and third place at the Ridgewood High School History Bowl and Bee. The team will continue their season at regional, state, and national level competitions.
