In honor of Engineers Week, this week’s Town Meeting celebrated the spirit of innovation and the power of problem-solving. Students explored the many branches of engineering—from civil and mechanical to aerospace and environmental—and connected these fields to real-world experts right here in our community. Through iconic engineering feats and conversations about sustainability in modern design, students discovered how curiosity and technical skill work hand in hand to shape a better world.
Students in Grades 3 through 8 also discussed current and historical events. We explored milestones that occurred on this very date in history, including the Supreme Court's 1922 decision upholding the 19th Amendment, a landmark moment that solidified women's right to vote. Students reflected on how this historic ruling stands as a powerful example of persistence and changed the course of a nation. Whether examining a structural marvel or a turning point in history, our students are learning that context is everything when it comes to understanding the full picture.
