MISSION IN ACTION: NURTURING THE JOYFUL SPIRIT

Nurturing the joyful spirit of each learner is at the core of Moravian Academy's mission, and it comes to life through the dedicated efforts of Beginning School teachers like Stacey Raudabaugh and Lisa Campbell, preschool educators on the Swain Campus.

The Beginning School lays the foundation of a lifetime love of learning. Through meticulously crafted centers and hands-on activities, children not only acquire academic and physical skills but also revel in the sheer delight of play.

Dramatic play transforms the classroom into a flower shop, bakery, construction site, and doctor's office. This imaginative approach ignites creativity and problem-solving skills. At the heart of the preschool experience is a celebration of individual growth. The Beginning School fosters a sense of community where each child feels valued. Learning is seamlessly woven into the fabric of joy through songs, hands-on activities, and child-led creativity.

Moravian Academy's Beginning School isn't just about toys; it's about creating meaningful experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and JOY.

Moravian Academy nurtures the joyful spirit of each learner and empowers inclusive global citizens to think critically, communicate effectively, lead with integrity, and strive for excellence.

Annie Jr., a condensed version of the classic Broadway musical, was directed by the talented Rip Cantelmi, Director of Dramatic Arts. This adaptation, with music by Charles Stause and lyrics by Martin Charnin, allowed our students to shine in age-appropriate roles while bringing the charm and energy of the original to the stage.

The success of Annie Jr. was a testament to the collaborative spirit of our community. We are proud to recognize the exceptional efforts of our cast and crew, whose hard work and dedication made this production possible. Special thanks are extended to the parents, teachers, and community members who supported this endeavor, from creating stunning costumes and sets to managing technical aspects that ensured smooth performances.
