Honorary Alumna Recognition
"Moravian Academy has been an important part of my life for more than 30 years. As the parent of a 'lifer' and now the grandparent of two current students, I’ve had the privilege of watching the school shape multiple generations of our family."
Together with her husband, Tony, she deeply appreciates the education and values provided to their daughter, Lauren, and grandsons, Tucker and Skyler. She remains profoundly grateful to the faculty and staff for creating a safe, welcoming, and inspiring learning environment that has shaped her family’s journey for decades.

Beyond her service, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially Tucker and Skyler, as well as Pilates, Zumba, reading, bridge, and traveling.

Patrice (Young) Kidd

Patrice Kidd

Honorary Alumna Recognition
"Music was central and integral to everyday life in the Bethlehem Moravian community in which our school was founded, and continues to be lifeblood to our school, centuries later. Teaching music in our great school has been joy upon joy."
A Lehigh Valley native, Patrice joined Moravian Academy in 1981 under Headmaster David Devey. Over a distinguished 37-year career, she became a cornerstone of the Moravian Academy musical identity, fostering a love for the arts in thousands of students and even teaching the children of former students, affectionately known as her "grandstudents."

"I’ve had the joy of working with thousands of students... enjoying knowing them as adults and parents, and getting to know how music still plays a central part in their lives."

  • Director of Middle School Music – Developed choral and general music programs.
  • Handbell Pioneer – Reinstituted the Upper School Handbell Choir and later established dedicated ensembles for every grade level (6th, 7th, and 8th) upon transitioning the program to the Middle School.
  • Chapel Musician – Led weekly services and developed the Chapel Musicians group.

  • Instrumental Lead – Managed Upper School instrumental and preschool programs in early years.
