Grade 10 Field Trip

10th Grade visits The Museum of Natural History and Central Park in New York City, exploring the interconnectedness of various species, ecosystems, and human cultures. This aligns with their grade theme of "Connection & Community" by showing how all life on Earth is interdependent. In addition, these lessons tie directly into their previous year in biology through the studies of ecology and into chemistry with its connections to research & materials. There will be parallels to their World History classes in which they are studying the historical roots of the political, intellectual, economic, and ideological forces that have shaped the history of human societies and the contemporary world. The scope of museum and adjacent Central Park offers students a wide variety of interest areas to explore and allows everyone to discover something new.
