At Moravian Academy, your children are supported, challenged, and inspired to explore, grow, and become their most authentic and successful selves. Across our three campuses, academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular programs empower learners to discover their unique potential and thrive. While our primary focus is the education of students, we also believe in supporting families and community members as they grow into their best selves.
With this in mind, we are pleased to continue our year-long virtual Moravian Academy Community Education Series for 2026-27. Led by Moravian Academy faculty experts and thought leaders, this series will explore engaging topics designed to inform, inspire, and strengthen our community.

Event Overview
Should schools restrict technology further — or is that question missing the point? As phone bans and AI policies dominate the national conversation, families are left wondering what actually protects children's ability to think deeply, focus fully, and learn well.
Join Sarah Prevette of Future Design School, named one of North America's most innovative companies by Fast Company, in conversation with Head of School Adrianne Finley Odell for an evening grounded in Future Design School's 2026–27 Future of Education Report.
Together they'll explore what the research reveals about the attention crisis, the hidden costs of cognitive offloading, and why the most effective schools are moving beyond "screen-time policing" toward intentionally designing for judgment, creativity, and deep thinking. In keeping with our all-school theme of stewardship, this conversation asks what it means to be faithful stewards of our children's most precious resources: their attention, their curiosity, and their capacity for independent thought.
