While students competed in events such as Start-Up Business Plan, Innovation Plan, Financial Literacy Project, Business Growth Project, Community Awareness Project, and Project Management Financial Literacy (PMFL), many reflected that the most meaningful aspect of the experience was the opportunity to connect with like-minded students from across the globe. What often began as brief conversations quickly grew into lasting connections and a shared sense of motivation and belonging.
In addition to competition, students participated in DECA’s academies, Thrive, Aspire, and Elevate, where they engaged in workshops focused on leadership development, career exploration, and personal growth. These sessions provided opportunities to build confidence, explore future pathways, and strengthen professional skills through interactive and hands-on learning experiences.
Outside of the conference, students also experienced Atlanta through time spent exploring the city, visiting locations such as the Georgia Aquarium, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Six Flags Over Georgia, and Pemberton Place. Moments of independence, teamwork, and friendship helped make the trip both memorable and meaningful.
As the week concluded, students returned home with new experiences, strengthened skills, and lasting connections, reflecting a conference that challenged them academically, supported their growth personally, and inspired them for the future.
