Moravian Academy Quiz Bowl Team Earns 2nd Place at National History Bowl and Bee
The Moravian Academy Quiz Bowl team achieved outstanding success at the National History Bowl and Bee in Washington, D.C., earning 2nd place in the Small Schools division. The team competed against top programs from across the country following a strong performance earlier in the year at the Mid-Atlantic Regional History Bowl held at Princeton University, where they secured 2nd place out of 16 teams to qualify for the competition.
Team members Tyler Shankweiler ’26, Nathaniel Schmidt ’26, and Jacob Kropf ’29 from the Merle-Smith Campus, and Amir Bourhim ’30 from the Historic Downtown Campus (pictured left to right), contributed to the team’s success throughout highly competitive events. Their achievement reflects their preparation, collaboration, and deep engagement with historical study, as they represented Moravian Academy with excellence on both the regional and national stage.
