    Moravian Academy seeks an instrumental music teacher and band director with responsibility for the middle and upper school music ensembles in grades 5-12 on the Historic Downtown, Swain, and Merle-Smith Campuses.

    This is a full-time position consisting of band lessons, rehearsals, and events during normal school hours (7:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) as well as some evening and weekend performances. Moravian Academy celebrates the arts, and our instrumental music teacher plays an important role in the life of the school and the performing arts department.     The Swain Campus of Moravian Academy, serving children in Preschool through Grade 8 located in the Lehigh Valley seeks a full-time teacher for our middle grades science classes for the 2024-2025 school year. This position would be responsible for the teaching and planning of three sections of science classes; Earth science in fifth grade and Physical science in sixth grade. They will also serve in a lead role as an elective instructor and as a sixth-grade advisor. In addition, this position will lead the campus’ highly regarded program for PJAS, the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science.     Short Term Disability - Moravian Academy offers Short Term Disability as an employer-provided benefit, ensuring financial security during periods of temporary disability. Employees are covered at 100% of their regular salary for the first 60 days of disability. For the subsequent four months, coverage remains robust at 60%, providing continued support during recovery and enabling employees to focus on their health without undue financial strain.
