Moravian Academy offers a wide variety of interscholastic athletic options for both boys and girls at both the Middle School and Upper School level throughout the school year. High levels of participation are valued by both students and coaches. Consequently, in any given year 80% of the student body joins at least one athletic team. As long as facilities permit, no students are cut from teams. In addition, throughout the athletic department a commitment to the team experience, ethical sportsmanship, and sound conditioning are emphasized and placed at a higher premium than wins and losses.
Moravian Academy's Upper School competes as an associate member of the Colonial League in boys and girls soccer, boys and girls tennis, golf, boys and girls cross country, and girls field hockey. Boys and girls basketball, boys and girls swimming, girls softball, boys baseball, and boys lacrosse play independent schedules against both private and public schools. In addition, Upper School Moravian students can play football, wrestle, or run track and field in a coordinated program with Notre Dame-Green Pond High School. Moravian belongs to the PIAA and adheres to all of its principles and regulations. An Outdoor Education Program which consists of hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, and rafting is available for students to select during all three athletic seasons.
Middle School teams play independent schedules against both private and public schools, and club teams.
