Admissions and Enrollment Process FAQS:

How do I monitor my progress?

Each candidate has a checklist in their myMA portal where they can see what they have submitted as well as what is outstanding for their file.

What if my student goes to an alternative school (i.e. charter, homeschool) and doesn’t have a “conventional” transcript?

We have students who arrive from many different sending schools. All transcripts are reviewed by our admissions committees and will be evaluated based on content and classes/coursework taken. So yes, we absolutely consider students arriving from a variety of schools.

When will I know when I’ve been accepted?

If an application is complete by the Round 1 date (January 26, 2024) most decisions will be rendered on or before the second week of March, 2024. All other applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and typically the turnaround time is 2-3 weeks.

When are financial aid decisions made?

If a completed application for Financial Aid has been submitted, all accepted students will have their financial aid application reviewed. These awards will almost always arrive at the same time as the enrollment contract.

If I have already taken admissions testing for another school (i.e. the ISEE, SSAT, NWEA MAPS) can I use these instead of your testing battery?

For the Merle-Smith Campus (grades 9-12) the ISEE and/or the SSAT may be used in lieu of our admissions testing battery.  For Grades 1 through 8, the NWEA MAPS may be submitted.

I applied a number of years ago. Can I reapply to Moravian Academy?

Absolutely. If it has been longer than one year since you applied, you will need to reapply and go through all the steps of the admissions process. If it has been less than a year, some of the application process can be waived.

I’ve been accepted to Moravian Academy! Is there a deadline for enrolling?

If you’ve been offered admissions to any of our three campuses (Swain, Historic Downtown or Merle-Smith) congratulations! You will have 10-14 days to return your decision by submitting the electronic contract that will arrive to your myMA portal. This will be accompanied by a non-refundable enrollment deposit. Failure to enroll in this time frame may result in the space being released to another eager student.

What do I do if I forget my credentials for myMA?

If you have forgotten your login credentials, you can click the “Forgot login or First time logging in?” link on the myMA login page. You should receive a reset message to the email address on file.  If you forget which email address is associated with your account, you can reach out to someone on the admissions team.

How do I monitor my admissions and enrollment progress?

Each candidate has a checklist in their myMA portal where they can see what they have submitted as well as what is outstanding for their file.
