Fostering Unique Potential in Preschool - Grade 8
We celebrate the unique potential of every individual learner.
The Swain Campus of Moravian Academy fosters the unique potential of students in preschool - grade 8. The academic program on the Swain School Campus is one honed by years of research, based on best teaching practices, and adapted each year to best serve each community of learners. Students are challenged to write, speak, and express themselves clearly and articulately. They work collaboratively, think creatively, problem-solve, and strive to achieve academic excellence.
We meet the needs of each unique student by providing a challenging, rich curriculum with engaged teachers in a safe, nurturing environment. We strive to inspire creativity and imagination, challenge students to take risks, and ultimately foster a love of learning within each child.

Swain has cultivated our daughter’s journey of self-awareness through an encompassing educational process and dynamic community that fosters her own advocacy and leadership qualities. Having the place and space to nurture her confidence has made for a remarkable journey for all of us to witness every day.

EXTENDING THE LEARNING
EXTRACURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES
In addition to high-quality academic opportunities, students are invited to participate in a number of stimulating extra-curricular activities. Classes or activities are created and run by Swain teachers and include niche topics such as yoga, MathCounts, Girls on the Run, filmmaking, creative writing, yearbook design, photography, community service, and more.

FIELD TRIPS (All Grades)
We visit farms, orchards, parks, science centers, theaters, museums, manufacturing facilities, historical sites, state and regional attractions, and many other destinations to expand each student’s view of the world and their own interests. Older students take overnight trips, more extensive outdoor education excursions, and even more optional adventures.
