Two from the Lehigh Valley up for Tony Awards

Ann Roth of Lower Mount Bethel and Santo Loquasto, formerly of Easton, are among those nominated for the 2018 Tony Awards, officials announced Tuesday.

The 72nd annual Tony Awards, which will be hosted by Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban, will be broadcast June 10 on CBS, live from NYC's Radio City Music Hall.

Roth is nominated in two categories:

Best costume design of a play: Roth is nominated twice in this category: for her work on "Three Tall Women” and " The Iceman Cometh”

Best costume design of a musical: For her work on "Carousel”

Loquasto is nominated for:

Best scenic design of a play: For his work on "The Iceman Cometh”

Both Roth and Loquasto are no strangers to awards. Roth won an Oscar in 1997 for Best Costume Design for her work on "The English Patient" and a Tony in 2013 for her work on "The Nance." She's been nominated for an Emmy numerous times and won a Career Achievement Award in 2003 from the Costume Designers Guild.
