In our rigorous academic program, students on the Merle-Smith Campus (Grades 9-12) are encouraged to unearth complex meaning and solve difficult problems. The goal is for students to learn how to learn, building the skills, judgment, grit, and self-motivation to reach their potential and keep on going. Throughout their years at the Upper School, students become experienced, self-directed learners. With guidance from college counselors, seniors take ownership of their college search, gain admission to excellent right-fit institutions, and are well prepared for the academic challenges they meet there.

My experience at Moravian—the intensity of the courses and the culture fostered there—has led me to where I am now: a senior designer for Snapchat. Moravian taught me to follow my curiosity, to constantly learn, and strive to become an expert in whatever subject I’m pursuing. -ALUMNUS
