Geocaching
Geocaching is a high-tech treasure-hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to use GPS technology and latitude/longitude coordinates to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors. Participants will learn how to use Garmin eTrex H GPS devices to find and hide their own “treasures” in and around the Lower School campus. Additionally, students will become familiar with our Earth’s coordinate system, Google Earth (website), and the geocaching.com website.
