Theater opportunities allow students to discover, develop, and refine their individual talents in a myriad of interesting ways on stage and in the classroom. Beginning in prekindergarten, children learn poems, fingerplays, and improvise in dramatic play scenarios. By Middle School, students are ready to test their skills in our comedy improv troupe

At each grade level, theater education is incorporated into the English curriculum from Tenessee Williams to William Shakespeare to Maya Angelou. Additionally, our digital media curriculum prepares students to enter the annual Moravian Academy Film Festival each spring.

From the experimentation and innovation of our technical crew to performers who craft work onstage, each year we celebrate Coffeehouse, a beloved Upper School tradition.
