Unscripted, Unrehearsed: Team Improv Made its Debut This Week

21 students from the sixth, seventh and eighth grades spent the last six weeks learning techniques and exercises that culminated in a showcase performance for parents Thursday night. 

Team Improv is lead by Janice Pope, director of professional and regional theater and former university professor at Penn State Berks and Lehigh. Mrs. Pope developed the group’s individual talents through vocal exercises and group activities that introduced them to the basics of improvisational acting. Team Improv’s performances are unscripted and unrehearsed, as they react to audience suggestions. 

Thursday’s performance was followed by an encore presentation for students on Friday.
