His day job is successful attorney in Bethlehem,
but his true passion is climbing and trekking the most
treacherous mountains in the world. As the special guest at a
recent Upper School Assembly, Joe Yannuzzi told his tales of
training on icy mountainsides in New Hampshire, digging a hole
for his tent in Bolivia, and readying for his biggest climb:
Mount Everest. Mr. Yannuzzi detailed this dangerous expedition,
which includes adjusting to the change in altitude by climbing
and descending the mountain several times. Students and faculty
remained afterwards to view the extensive and lifesaving
equipment necessary for such adventures.
