The Spirit of Cooperative Entrepreneurship

is Alive at Moravian Academy

Monday, November 26

“It’s not sacrifice if you love what you do”. These words flashed across the screen onstage in the Upper School ’s Dyer Auditorium, where cooperative entrepreneurship was the topic of Monday’s assembly.  Guest speaker Todd Welch of the Charter Partners Foundation encouraged the audience to collaborate with peers and become true entrepreneurs using three basic tenets: find what you love and do it; win honestly; and work together by forming a common culture.

Mr. Welch, father of Kevin Welch ‘08, believes Moravian Academy possesses “a great environment that automatically promotes this idea of cooperative entrepreneurship” through its student diversity, which gives students here a head start in learning successful business practices.

The Charter Partners Foundation, which was founded by Mr. Welch and his brother Glen, aims to encourage entrepreneurship in high school students through hands-on learning experiences. Learn more about the foundation’s “A Week in the Life of an Entrepreneur” at www.charterpartnersfoundation.org.
