In addition to the interscholastic athletic program, a wide variety of extracurricular clubs exists to meet student needs and interests. Students are encouraged to join two or more activities which meet during the latter part of the school day three times a week, after school, and on weekends. Activities range from the academically oriented to publications to music and theater. These activities encourage students to broaden and deepen their interests beyond the classroom setting, to develop skills in writing and public speaking, and to encourage teamwork and cooperation with others. Moravian Academy's Student Council and Social Council sponsor weekend dances and special events throughout the year.
