  Headmaster George N. King, Jr.

Welcome to the Moravian Academy website. It is designed to provide you with important information about the Academy’s history and traditions as well as its fine academic and co-curricular programs.

At Moravian Academy, we are committed to developing the whole student – Mind, Body, and Spirit. Our dedicated teachers strive to accomplish that goal each day by offering students a well-rounded, engaging educational experience in first-rate facilities. The diverse accomplishments of our alumnae and alumni are a testament to the richness of the Moravian Academy program. Although I am certain you will learn a great deal by exploring the website, I hope you will contact the Lower, Middle, or Upper School Admissions Office at your earliest convenience and schedule a campus visit.

Visiting Moravian Academy is an invaluable experience because, unlike surfing the website, you will have an opportunity to meet members of our wonderful community and get a first-hand sense of the school. In the final analysis, it is the people that define a community and its values. We are proud of our rich heritage, which began in 1742 when members of the Moravian Church founded two schools, Moravian Seminary for Girls and a school for boys, which became Moravian Preparatory School, a coeducational school. Two hundred twenty-nine years later, the two schools merged to form Moravian Academy. Today, Moravian Academy is a thriving, co-educational, Pre-K through Grade 12, college preparatory school that nurtures students’ individual gifts while building their enthusiasm for learning. Like the founders, we continue to believe that education is a sacred responsibility. We cherish every day we spend with the students.

We would welcome the opportunity to give you a campus tour, and introduce you to our students, faculty, and administrators. In the interim, enjoy your virtual tour.

Sincerely,
