From its earliest days more than 250 years ago, Moravian Academy has played a vital role in serving the Lehigh Valley community. This tradition continues today as all students in the school are involved in community service.

The Lower School conducts a monthly food drive for a local food pantry and students regularly participate in class service projects, such as collecting books and making Easter baskets for disadvantaged children. Middle School students may choose from a variety of service projects, such as assisting in soup kitchens or sewing quilts for hospitalized babies. Upper School students volunteer at least 40 hours of their time to community projects and organizations, such as local hospitals and Habitat for Humanity.

Each summer the Academy operates summer programs that include Green Pond Day Camp and enrichment workshops. Both programs are open to the children in the community.

In addition, the Academy hosts Lehigh Valley Summerbridge, a year-round program that provides tutoring, academic counseling and enrichment programs for motivated students from area middle schools.
